My first post of the year! :D

It’s the time of the year where all past should be at the past and all the times ahead is a new beginning! Here I would like to recap the events that marked the most interesting events of my life at 2011. In terms of work, I’ve got a new head of department who becomes a bridge between us and the management. Thanks to him, a lot of projects and assignments were delivered in a well planned manner. In addition to that, I’ve got Lydia in a team now, which would not only reduce the work load but increase the efficiency of whatever we are gonna do from now onwards :D

As a second year to the relationship, 2011 is considered the year that shapes and strengthen the bond between me and gin. We had tons and tons of arguments, big war of bitchery and so on. We went through each conflict one by one with understanding and willingness to improve for each other. As a result, we became really sensitive and caring to each other. My life has been really adventurous and wonderful with my life companion with me. Love you for that Ginny :)

I’ve started to look into financial investment, and ways to save and allocate money for the future. While doing so, I get a new friend who is willing to share the knowledge and experience on that field. Contradicting that, I’ve been spending a lot on 2011 December till a point I can feel a “coin drop silence” in my bank account :P. Gin and I has made a pact to cut down expenses and shop less on the years ahead, which is our primary resolution for this year! XD

This year might be a year of opportunity for me to step on a higher level for my carrier. I would need to vow for better performance and reliability at work. I might need to polish my leadership skills to face the challenges ahead when I start to lead this midyear.

I’ve always been negative and skeptical in the past when it comes to decision making. But during the year 2011, I’ve encountered situations that needed me to be the positive one to sustain and motivate my other half. That moment taught me about the power of persistence. As long as we do not give in to what we seem to perceive as failures, persistence will overpower any challenges that comes in its way.

My birthday in year 2011 was a rather adventurous one. There was a whole lot of adventure ranging from lovely romantic ones to getting a pirate ship! :D
I also received a handmade photobook for our 2 year anniversary :D It was a work of an artistic hand, mainly because she has been associating with creative people for almost 2 years :p (I can hear some groan of disapproval from somewhere lol)

Another moment that left a mark would be bro Jon finally opened up to me, to tell me things just like how we used to me. Hopefully his days ahead would one filled with peace and wisdom.

Come to think of it, having gin along with me for 2 year has been a total different relationship experience. This was the first relationship which I actually look forward to every single day, and love every single thought of how it would be in the future. Throughout the years, there are people who are skeptical about us and even advice us to break apart during our hard times.

Advice like those did not make me have negative thoughts towards them but instead would like to thank them for giving me a point to consider. At those moments when I was really negative, I took the advice and thought to myself, which one was easier to do? : to break up and suffer long term or to fight through the short terms suffering and enjoy the love. It was clear to me that, leaving would be the hardest option for me. Thus, all the skeptical people who advised me to break up actually trained my mind to be clear of what I really want and make confirmed decisions :D

As a new year resolution, I would like to tone up my body to a healthy shape and let my gears working again.(im sick of feeling fatigue and weak all the time) I do not get much support on this matter sometimes because, most of the people around me thought that I’m going to go on steroid mode and built a friggin gigantic muscular body -_- (blame the tv for showing all exaggerating stereotypes) All I want is to feel agile and in proper control of my body’s movements. Oh yeah, talking about that, on the 2011 I got myself a motorcross bike!
It not only brought excitement to my life, but also increased my strength. It’s heavier than a normal bike, takes more energy to maneuver, tackle cornerings, grabing on the clutches and brakes. As a result, my body frame was slightly larger at the end of the year. Moving a cub bike is like pulling a bicycle to me now. With the bike, I’ve learnt the importance of maintenance, and taking care of things. I’ve met a good foreman named Ah Ming, who was willing to share all the tips and clear all the myth and taboos that sly foreman uses to drain cash from their victim.

Next resolution would be saving up to fund for a house! Yeaps, a house Is an investment and a vehicle is always a liability :D Therefore I should make the first step to at least own a property :D. Somehow I felt that I’m not to old and neither too young to start thinking about owning a property and getting married. Gosh, what has gotten into you Mike. Guess being with a person you love, really triggers these actions.

Lastly, I would wish that the myth of the world ending this year does not become a truth. I want to live to see how my plans and determination succeed, I want to have a beautiful family with my girl, I want to retire and hang out with old friends, have a few pints of beer and whiskey. I want to be a leader of an organization, spreading education and build characters. I want to celebrate every achievement of the people around me.

This batch is consist of 9 students, all girls and 1 boy. Timothy skipped college today basically because he is trying to finish up his technical drawings at home. So only a few turned up today. Either way, the girls were really havin fun with their model showcase. This photography session is a celebration of their hard work and effort, one which would impact them dearly when they look back at it again.

I was jumpin up and down when i finally saw the source of the petrol smell from my bike! It was the leakage on the filters.Got so mad and frustrated with the leakage i went back to my main distributor and they replaced the boring white filter with a pretty and trasparent one! now i can see the pretty petrol colors before they go down to the carburetor!~ :D:D

A hero is discovered today.
He was a humble indian man.
A big ass cement lorry driver.

This was how he became a hero today.
I was riding out of the bike shop along the NPE highway,
As my gears switched from 4th to 5th,
The chain suddenly went off the sprocket,
immediately jammed my rims, causing me to land on an emergency brake.

Cars starts to slow down and overtake my idle bike.
I couldn't push my bike off the road as the chains were stuck.
All i could do was trying to put my chain back to the sprocket as soon as possible.
Under this high stress condition, and afraid that i would be hit my speeding cars,
Suddenly there was a gigantic shadow cast right on the area where i was idle.
I did not have the time to look but tried to push my bike several times but failed.

Cars were honking and the vehicle behind be refused to move,
Out of curiosity, i took a glimpse, and i saw an indian man on his late 20s,
smiles at me, and greeted with his right arm, assuring me that, he will not move his lorry till I'm done.
In the end, i took the time to put the chains back on and started my bike.
I took a last glance at the back, and gave him a wave of gratitude,
touched by the action, of his heroic act despite being honked by people who passed by.

It's been a long time ever since i post something on this blog.

It's been an even longer time i posted something positive on this blog.

It's been a...okay, i was juz kiddin, I just want to jot down these simple yet meaningful details that I've went through today.

I was grumpy as hell as i was so late, boost my way up to 80kmph on a slow moving traffic, pushing my disc brakes to their limits everytime a car engaged. The day got worse when the weather was so harsh on me, tormenting me with the heaviest downpour transforming me into a wet, but ugly puppy.

While i was stomping my way to find a shelter, i heard a weak sound calling my name despite the heavy rain drops interrupting my ear drums. Standing there, was a girl in white sailor T, underneath an umbrella. She took a glance at me with sympathy, worrying that i will catch a cold with my drenched outfit.

Despite the bad weather and my unkempt condition, she chose to continue spending her day with me. I admit that i was a little hesitant to spend the day with her because of how inconvenient things are going to be with my flooded shoes and trousers. Replacing my shirt with my "jackcoat", i was walking along the mall with a bare chested outfit throughout the journey. She got me 2 nice graphic tees, with a swipe of her card, without hesitation or consideration on the 10% processing charges that follows by.

Trust me, that this is the first time that i wore a pair of jeans that fits, and looked as good as this. Call me ridiculous or what, but on that moment, ironically, i felt that this is the first time i had a relationship that fits, Gin that fits :P

On the other hand, there was this milk tea that i wanted her to try for a very long time. I know that it has a taste that will make her smile, and feel sweet in the heart. A drink worth spending on, as long as it makes her smile again. Indeed, she liked it, and finished almost 80% of it, in fact, she never really took her lips off the straw, which was pretty cute to me :D:D:DD

Soon, the rain calmed down and the night lurks into the darkness. I was surprised when the composition of tenors, sopranos, counter sopranos, alto, bass and baritones blends so well, making a song feels so divine and meaningful. What surprises me even more is that, i can clearly hear her voice, word by word coming out from her lips, despite the loudness of the whole choir. Her angelic voice definitely soothes the heart of this worn out man that night.

Before we part, she hugged me and said "We are not getting any better". What was registered in my brains, was her voice tone, the tone that tells me " We are both hurt. I love you, i really do, do you feel me?"

That feeling was further enhanced, when our lips met,

which left me the message of " lets meet again soon"

and our last gesture of love was,

waiting for me to leave safely even when she is in a rush,

and i honked her to cover up her boots

we bid farewell,

it was a happy day baby.

Once upon a dinner time....

.....we were happily finding for a place to eat at bangsar
i was being cheerful
and we changed our mind, hopping between 3 restaurants
and finally settled down
everything started when we ordered the menu
she has this mindset of letting me order what i like to eat, even if she doesnt really like it
i have a mindset of, eating something that we both can eat together, and
yeah, she cant eat beef
so, while i was lookin at the menu
i said that,
the pizzas with beef peperoni looks nice
apart from that, chicken will be rather plain
but i think that we shud order at least vegetarian
or the chicken one so that both of us can eat
but because of my comments on chicken pizza will be plain
she choose to eat the ones with beef peperoni
so i called the waiter to separate it to half,
half with beef and half without
apparently, the other half was lamb
and she also do not like lamb
when she eat them, her face was like not really that happy
i asked her if we shud order salad, or vegetarian pizza or whatever
but she rejected all and choose to order this
and when we are eating
she is not enjohing it
so i felt that i made a mistake by doing that order in the first place
so i told her that, we shud hav ordered sth other that this
if she dun like lamb as well
then she came back to the part where i was biased when i 1st commented that chicken was tasteless
and so its like, after everything is ordered
then i was given to guilt
so yeah.
i start to talk a lot
and she was silent all the way
which made me even more frustrated
coz i felt like im talkin to the wall
i need feedback
there was none
she was alll silent
and i know that, its her style
that when someone is angry she will keep silent
but i was juz way too frustrated that time
and i guess, i talked so much that it hurts
i hurt
she hurt
we all hurt
yeah
just bcoz of food

my foolishness is beyond help.

Music industry suffering huge losses due to piracy: RIM

KUALA LUMPUR: Pirated music has seen a 50% drop in the music industry's revenue over the past 15 years says the Recording Industry Association of Malaysia (RIM).

According to RIM vice president Norman Abdul Halim, pirated music activities (pirated cd, vcd, dvd) has seen a 50% drop in revenue for the music industry.

"Fifteen years ago the music industry's income in the country was about RM300mil but due to piracy, we are looking at only RM150mil which is a huge loss," he told Bernama Radio24's Kerusi Panas programme.

Norman who is also KRU Studios chief executive officer said the size of the Malaysian music industry was not big but has the potential to contribute towards the nation's aspirations to become a high income and developed nation by 2020.

He added that the digital industry had already taken over the physical sales of albums and opened a whole new perspective for musicians to enhance their career in the music industry.

"In the past, one will have to buy an album or cassette even to listen to only one favourite song, but now they can download a song through their hand phones for just RM2 or RM3 per song," he said.

However, those in the industry must not abolish the physical production of cassettes or cd, he said. - Bernama

After the whole talk about figures and numbers, and persuasive ways of getting to your dreams which sounds too good to be true, those are situations that happens, only when everything happen in the most ideal way. What are the odds?

I talked to Farha, and she told me that she was in it before, but she quite later on because of the push they give in to fit certain quota. She said the products are of good quality but there is a need for a lil hard work in it.

The temptation for me was simple: I am still young, and Rm89 will be paid for "following a business man for internship to learn the ways of business, to open up my view, for a good experience." and also " to get to know more people, of different job, to build connection for future business opportunities"

Which means, even if im not doing that business, but at least i know a sum of people, who might be rich one day, doing projects and renovating their houses, shouldn't be that bad right?

In other words, RM89 to build a connection/business network for my future interior design firm sounds pretty good.

In other words going for a roller coaster ride of the business world, with an emerald as a tour guide, for that price, is quite worth the experience.

Spoken to Claire, and she also said the products were really good as well, just that it's a little more expensive. She told the experience from her part, which is about the seminars they attend, and the mom is more of a consumer.

At these point, i was really fickle minded,

and all i need was a person to pay for my ride, as a kick start. I want the experience but i am stingy to pay for the ride. That is me, the poor minded , the indecisive.

Went home, and i talked to love. Love told me about her bursting passion for a blogshop, it was really exciting, and i felt that it would be nice if i aid in the areas where my expertise can be used. If i really generate great income from that business, perhaps i can fund her passion in blogshopping too! :D

She asked about my day, and i told her halfway. I did not get to go to the part where i was afraid, fickle, and fragile. I did not talk about my skeptic point of view and my temptations. I did not get to do so because, i have projected an image that i am totally believing that this would work and that i am already blinded with all the projection of dreams created by the people who i met this afternoon at HQ..

After a week off, im back to the ocean again, meeting new waves of young pirates who wants to learn the skills to fight in the sea. The day started of with a big welcoming rain on the way to headquarters. Gosh, it really made my day, appearing that the jetty with wet jacket and a pair of wet socks. After settling down, i gave a long briefing,*yeah, ironically, a brief which is not that brief* to my 1st division pirates, telling them the necessities in order to get a good sail. I feel that I've caused them much confusion looking at the blank look on the face.

The noon sun approaches strong, making feel like pointing a middle finger to the clouds for drenching me in the morning when the weather is supposed to be sunny. I am but a practical joke to the solar system.

Waiting at the deck was General Inevitably Noob who came to pick me up for some miniature seafood oriental dish. The moment our eyes met, feelings starts to flood in, a great sense warmth and happiness filling the atmosphere As usual G.I.N has a fetish of picking out all the prawns and give it to me. She has a phobia of prawns eversince she battleship got attacked by a Giant Lobster during the 1818 Atlantic Ocean War.Guess it still haunts her till this day.

But sometimes, you just don't know: sit , shut up and listen bitch. Let yo boy finish what he gota say before you conclusively think that you know.

IMPROVEMENTS: Listen, even when u think you know it, if it's exactly something you know, then good, you've confirmed your intelligence. If you know more than that, bring it out and discuss, and you will have a good conversation with your boy, and better yet, he'll get impressed by you over and over again.

IMPROVEMENTS: Rude is just not the word dear. Food is for eating. The purpose of buying it in the first place, is to eat together, no matter who takes the first bite. Don't argue about food, it's childish. Just don't over react, talk with a smile, it works better.

THE VERDICT: A little bit of patience goes a long way my hun. Sometimes we make mistakes, telling us that we should have know is like rubbing it in. It's like you write something in a wrong spelling, and u realized it, and wanted to correct it, and meanwhile ur annoying classmate come and tell you, hey you should have know that the right spelling is like this, so then you do not need an eraser. Just gime the damn eraser dammit

IMPROVEMENTS: Empathy plays a really important role here, someone has done wrong, felt guilty and wanted to change. What they need is encouragement and motivation to correct the wrong, not more and more blames. It's just annoying.

No matter who is wrong, by the end of the day one should calm down and give in no matter who is right or wrong. More importantly we try to talk our heart out,and solve those problems with respect, a vital element of a relationship.

Swallowed by pride, the friend who i thought was mature enough to really read and listen to what i was saying, cut me off just to prove his points right. Hasty blades were thrown out from his lips, triggered by the ego and naiveness that played the strings of his cognition like a puppet.

De Big Ol Sub till De InstaCarpeDiemachine

Things are getting better, the hectic planning and rushing phases are over for now. Was able to sneak to get a full outing with the double G sisters. Fun factor of the trip begins, when i meet up with the spice of life, the petite G. We walked and dined in the subway, half a sub each, pushed to consume the Italian Biggest Meatiest Tastiest because it was simply just the best.

Big G called as her cruise arrived at the deck, and we both hop in as the rain pours heartlessly.
Thanks to Big G, i was allowed to board on the cruise for a round of adventure that i'll never forget.

In search for the InstaCarpeDiemachine, we embark to the Pyramids where we roamed and fight our way through piles and piles of printed cotton materials, stopped by for some historical Ireland cuisine & finally end up at the Treasure chest box. Damn it was hollow! Someone was here earlier than us!

Off we go to Good Ol' Leisure Island to try our luck there. There, we met a few pirates who was selling the InstaCarpeDiemachine away for 299bars of golds. We asked for a bargain, and de Ol' Nasty Pirate raises his volume rudely saying "WHAT BARGAIN DO YOU WANT YE DUMB SCUM? THEY SELL THESE FOR 599BARS OF GOLD ON SHORE!" When the G sisters negotiates, one of the underlings exclaimed "THERE IS A GIGANTIC STORM IN THE EAST! YOU'LL NEVER GET THESE THERE!"

Absurd as it is, with our years of experience on the ocean, we know that these pirates are just a bunch of bullcrap. So we left and walked away from that island dissipating our heat of dissatisfaction while petite G was regaining her original neutral sense.Much arguments were made with petite G's will of going against the flow putting more fire into fire instead of extinguishing flames.Hilarious indeed.

There we sail to the shores of Seoul where the Koreans were grilling meat with red glowing bamboo charcoals. What's more fun was on the dining table, Petite G started a game, and it all turn out to be a confession session where all we felt about each other was poured out generously. Entitlements like, comedian, gay, mild-control and insensitive basically summarizes the kind of captain i am. Petite G got the most attacks basically because she is the most interesting and cared for crew in our ship. Love it or not, she is the silliest, most funny character you can have on board. Big G was described as a warm and cozy person, due to what we feel through her action and speech. Like it or not, there was big laughter, and off we went to a final destination.

Thanks to Big G again, for willing to brought the ship to the Middle Valleys, where we finally found the cheapest InstaCarpeDiemachine for 249bars of gold! We flagged and mark the spot as a benchmark to obtain the machine.Hopefully, after we take a look on the nearby continent, we will get a cheaper one, or we will just cruise back to the valleys to get it there.

The new quest begins this Saturday, only me and pesty G this time, to the place where i grew up at.

Despite being the latest to hand in the proposal, our department was the first to execute the plan and transformed our room right on time enabling us to leave early on that night. It was one of the most hectic event of my life, trying to co-ordinate the plan while being major part on the production. On top of that, i was chosen as the MC of this year's graduation night. Farha invited me to be her Co-MC, but ended up spraining her leg on the last hour, leaving me alone, with my guts on stage. There was no rehersal, it was all impromptu. Technical glitches on the sound system makes everything even worse. Things were rescheduled so frequent that it renders the script useless. Versatility and spontaneousness is the 2 best character that summarizes my experience that night.

So, here we go, so much planning just for 2 days of exhibition and we gota strip that off, and what is worse? we are going to put it back : / again next weekend. This is absurd.

Finally, i managed to execute the plan and gave her a birthday she will never forget! :D

Can't believe that, it took around 3 months to plan and prepare for something that is going to happen on just one single day. I will not deny that, it took a lot of determination when it comes to times where some part of the plan seems to be not working, or some de -motivations from external source and so on. There was also a need to find a balance between the plan and work. Every day after work, i am usually exhausted, but i will take a cold bath to wake myself up for some time, look at the plan, and try to make the presents piece by piece. Some things that i need to prepare, falls behind schedule, and i will have to compensate it with another day.

There were also a couple of arguments involved while i was in the preparation of this plan. Sometimes, i tend to reply slow, and sometimes i tend to sound like i am out of focus, and i could not reveal to her that, i was doing something for her. It was a rather great challenge and i think, i've learn a couple of new things along this birthday plan.

I now realize that, there is a lot of things that will not go your way, and that you always need a plan b, or at least, an alternative to replace parts of your plan.

I also realize that, when you are determined to make something happen, no matter how short the time you have, or how bad the situation seems, if love is your driving force, you will be able to make it.

I also learnt that, no matter how much a person makes you unhappy that time, all you need to focus on is, to deliver what you've promised yourself, and that, on that day, it is going to be a good day.

On the day i executed my plan, she was really surprised and did not know what was coming next. I've created a multiple layer of surprise that would not be so easy to decipher and figured out within hours. Or else, this 3 month plan, would have gone to waste.

Also thanks to my girl, for believing in me, and letting me take charge of everything that day. Or else, it would have been a big mess.After all this babbling, i think the person who read this is going to be quite impatient, wondering what the hell am i talking about, so yeah, the story starts like this. The night before her birthday, her siblings executed operation "sticky ninja" successfully, giving her the biggest surprise she ever had when she opened her eyes.From the feedback of her siblings and herself, it was something that cheers her to euphoric levels :D.
On her birthday, I was having a full class tutorial.Therefore, i was only able to have dinner with her after work............LIES :p
I moved the assessment to the next day, enabling me to appear on the afternoon and surprise her. Her friend overdid the inception and gave her such a big idea she was looking forward to, till a point when i appeared, she wasn't really happy and called me to get back to work. I was a little upset, but the plan shall not be ruined just like that. So i stick to the plan, and despite her being a little bitchy and unhappy, i know that, there is something big i've planned for her, and she has to experience it. At this moment, i have a self doubt " Should i just let her hang out with her friends, so that she will be happier? Is my plan something that I thought is something that will make her happy, but the fact is,it might not be what she really wants?"

Despite all doubts, i grabbed her, and off we go to the next spot. It was a rather frustrating drive to the restaurant, i tried to bring her there without letting her know where it is, but failed. At this point, i felt a little stupid because i should have test drive that location before even executing the plan. But i was too occupied with work and was too tired.*bad excuse, i know*

I finally tell her the venue, and she asked her friend who lives nearby.Thanks to her, we reached that place, quite late, but still available. My friend Michiko, was kind enough to spare us a private tatami room, and made her chef produced an artpiece : The mini sushi cake. I was surprised by how "mini" the cake was, it was bigger plate than the sushi set we ordered. What's best, we got it for free! That was really something that blew my girl's brain off, and seriously, i am thankful to Michi & Chef for lending their hands into doing this. It's a blessing, and may they be blessed for their good will.
In the room, there were a couple of games we played, it was the highlight of the day because that were the things i was planning and preparing for the past few months. From silly games like, in "7 ways show me that you love me without uttering a single word" to romantic ones like the "tongue twister". I believe that, the moments in the room would be the most unforgettable moment of our lives, as we stay together.
After that fine fine dining, we drove to Bangsar where another ambush was about to be initiated. On the way, i showed her the video compilation that I've managed to complete a night before. On the night before, she was complaining about my reply speed, and i couldn't really explain to her. So she got all the license to bitch that night. Back to the part that, she was watching and smiling at the video and all of a sudden i hear a sulk. I tossed by head to the left, and saw tears rolling down her eyes,uncontrollably. On that instant, i told myself that

" The only girl who would feel for this simple compilation of visuals,is the girl who truly feels for me, definitely the choice of my wife to be."

It was after that we landed at BSC, and i was not able to control the situation well. I was out of games, and there was too much time before everyone was ready for ambush. I did not planned for this! It was due to the request she told me a few days before " I would like to celebrate with my friends all around me". The moment i hear that, my heart was crushed, because i sense a threat to my months of planning. But not to be selfish, i insist to myself that, "If this is what it takes to make her happy, i will make it happen."

Therefore, on last minute, i created a group and adding the closest friends she has. Some was not able to make it, but it was no force. I want it to be a positive thing, as positivity will bring good luck into this plan. For this girl's plan, i even trusted luck.pfft....so un-mike

As unprepared as i am, I tried to drag the time by walking her around the mall. The momentum kinda went down, and she was all gloomy and moody. I had no one to turn to, i am left with myself to face this moment. I kept questioning myself " What did i do wrong in the whole plan? Why is this girl so down? Is there something else she wants for her birthday?Was i on the wrong track?" No matter how i question myself, i know it doesn't help at that moment. I kept myself focused on making her feel that she should cheer up for her birthday. Maybe she just wants to celebrate with friends, and i took that off from her :(

So in the end, i was able to raise her level of cheerfulness by a bit, and tried to play the blindfold game with her. She has already expected that there will be people surprising her, but i don't care, because the real question is "WHO?"

She will never guess that, the moment she opened her eyes, there were not only sunday school close mates, but also a group of college mates appeared. I am sure that the people who attended that day, was totally out of her scope of imagination. Thanks to the people who attended, she was really cheered up that night, and the gifts we a sign of love and generosity. The way these people give and celebrated her birthday, tells me only one thing.

So it was complete, FOOD, GIFT, LOVE, & FRIENDS. i gave her everything she wished for this birthday. Alright, maybe not everything she wished for, but i guess it was pretty complete for a short day. I was proud that, i wasn't being too selfish about the plan and give a slot to friends to come in, and cheer her up. In fact, i think because the friends came in, her birthday was really complete, and it really left her smiling for the rest of the night. Thanks to the beautiful friends, who is there for her, and save the moody situation where we were in.

I am tired,

i am exhausted,

but i was the most

contented being

on earth that night.

It was all about her,

and i've learnt

to be the most

selfless person

and made my biggest

act of giving that night.

30th Day OF THE YEAR

IT IS CALLED ‘30th night of The Nian’ hehe. pardon my poor command of mandarin.

For my family, we have some very random dish like fried fish, fried rolls and some clear soup, simple!~ Parents can't really take stuffs which are too salty n stuffs, so it's really good enough. Down with a bottle of Skol we sat and laughed at the Round Table that was already there since i was born.

I did not have any yam for dinner that night, but i believe it's gonna be a good start as well :P.

As a tradition, we will make our CNY prayers and transference of merits :D

Maybe i was stuck in the room for too long, i never noticed that mom had made a small lil garden with lil buddha statues in it. Was fascinated and took a few shot of it.

Here i am, sitting in my brother's room, typing and typing about the aftermath of those tiring schedules. I did not have a chance to even blog about what are the things that was bestowed upon me, the good the bad, the frustrating, and the stressful.

To summarize the events, it started off with me having a big class to handle, working from morning to night to get all the students tutored with attention, given a "surprise" extra class to teach, not great learners, not as motivated as the usual ones, which becomes a challenge to me.

At that current timeline, my lover was having her exam, has some de-motivational times, but managed to accompany her and given her the time and space she needs. Even though we didn't really meet, but it was pretty impressive how she is able to fit in some time to talk to me online.Not getting to meet and contact much with her really gives me the sense of losing something big in life.It sorts of made me lose a lump energy source and motivation. Somewhat telling myself that, it's not gona be easy living without this girl.

It was worth it taking the time to tutor the students i am having currently, because they have a lot of enthusiasm in the things that they are doing. Recently, there is a student who seems to be producing models of quite terrible quality.So i made her bring all her equipments today, and call her to make it right in front of me. Soon, i identified that she is missing a few simple steps and keeps her from cutting well. After teaching it to her, it seem to be a motivational point, she brought new blades and wanted to do more.

It was a rewarding experience, changing a person's motivation just by fixing those little steps that they were missing. The student posted one of the small little piece i made her do, and put a little note of gratitude at the description area.

It was somehow things that keeps me going despite the tiredness. Motivated students that motivates me back.

WHAT ARE YOU SO HAPPY ABOUT?

Don't get me wrong, i am not trying to give negative remarks or invoke any negative thoughts on such a wonderful occasion. My intention is to let all of us be clear about what are we actually celebrating, so that we can have a meaningful New Year's Day.

So these questions flood into my mind,
Everybody is wishing everyone a happy new year here n there, but really what is so worth celebrating there?
What is so awesome about time ticking in and emerging to the next year?
What is the meaning of New Year?
Why are we so happy about it till we wanna celebrate it?
What are we looking forward into?
What was in the past that makes us anticipate the future?
What is going to improve or getting better?

Then comes another moronic issue

There is this trend of celebrating New Year'd Day by spraying foams on people,these things are toxic and you can smell it in the air mixing with the stench and odor of sweaty crowds.There will be people shouting like hooligans, jumping and dancing here and there, waving flags out their their vehicles, trying to make a parade of their own but seriously,

WHERE DOES THIS STYLE OF CELEBRATION COMES FROM AND WHAT IS THE LINK BETWEEN SPRAYING FOAM ON PEOPLE'S FACE TO THE MEANING OF NEW YEAR?

These is when people get to make money by selling all these nonsense to ignorant people who wants to party of the street for multiple reasons of their own.

Acting like hooligans is not enough, so let's spray foams on faces of people we like? WHAT?

At the end of the day, cleaners are assigned to sweep all those spray cans from Times Square all the way to Lot 10 to Pavillion, can you imagine yourself sweeping all these cans yourself?

How much tax money do we use to sweep these roads clean?

How much tax money do we use to dispose the cans safely?

How does the production and disposal of these foam spray impact the earth?

How green are we? Are we really that green after all?

All you know about green is buying green merchandise and using bags that write "I am not plastic?"

Is that all?

Is that what we are?

Is that who we are?

Considering that, i've been occupied by many new events in my life, I've always been to tired to post on this blog...

Alright, fine, im lazy....-____-

This year has been a year of change, there is a lot of changes that has been brought into my life, changes that made me a happier and better person.

As typical as things are, work and relationship played the biggest role in the transformation of my life this year. Through work, i have met new people. People who are generous in sharing knowledge, and people who make me learn things that motivate and inspire me to improve.

There are also people who are highly experienced, which shows me a clear distinction between their mind compared to mine. Encountering people like them, made me realize and be conscious about what level i am in now, and that i shall never stop growing.

Life is not a fairy tale in work place. Despite the fun and energy when dealing with students, there are a lot of people who likes to take advantage and divert your focus away from your main objectives. These are nothing but challenges to me, as in to deal with them, as a growing process of life.

LOVE, who would know that one silly & shameless question could actually mark a significant point of change into our lives. It is going to be a year together soon. Life was an adventure with this girl. I learnt how to adapt and open up my mind to new varieties of taste and activities that I've never done before. I start to learn and experience things that made me realize this world is more than what we think it is. Despite the times she gets hard headed, and we start to argue about things: down to the tiny bits of detail down to the core. Through that, i have develop a new ability: to really listen and reflect on what are the mistakes i have done, taking away defensive explanations and justifications.

This girl has definitely made me more than what i was within 1 year; it has been real and honest. We definitely get ourselves in a new level of understanding on what we need, and what relationship is to us, there is no promise in the future no matter how we express it, but we do know that at the end of the day,

"Love can be as simple as making each other smile"

Nobody said it was easy.The simpler the meaning of love, the harder for it to initiate.Disagree? read and re-read till something sparks in your mind :)

Hope 2011 will be a chapter that strengthen our bonds beyond our imaginations :)

Let me introduce a little bit about us. We are a group of Design Revolutionist in the making and we are formed by a group of Interior Designer, Graphic Designer, Event Coordinator, Design Writers and also Design Lecturer in local private colleges .

Foreword by the Founder:

Basically I have great passion of educating people who have came across me, and i have brought many insights and improvements into their lives.

However,I told myself that, by limiting my passion to only one small group of people is not enough. My passion is bigger than that!

And that is why, i want to extend my passion in design, to help even more people. To be able to help students from any colleges or universities, to upgrade the design industry in Malaysia.

Can you imagine that 10 years from now, even a 60 year old auntie would know how to talk about design and look into the details of things? My passion is to work on that, to let the nation know what design really is, so that, all our effort and work will not be wasted. I believe all of us would want our work to be appreciated right?

I must say thank you to the faculty and staff of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information for inviting me to give your convocation address. It’s a wonderful honour and a privilege for me to speak here for ten minutes without fear of contradiction, defamation or retaliation. I say this as a Singaporean and more so as a husband.

My wife is a wonderful person and perfect in every way except one. She is the editor of a magazine. She corrects people for a living. She has honed her expert skills over a quarter of a century, mostly by practising at home during conversations between her and me.

On the other hand, I am a litigator. Essentially, I spend my day telling people how wrong they are. I make my living being disagreeable.

Nevertheless, there is perfect harmony in our matrimonial home. That is because when an editor and a litigator have an argument, the one who triumphs is always the wife.

And so I want to start by giving one piece of advice to the men: when you’ve already won her heart, you don’t need to win every argument.

Marriage is considered one milestone of life. Some of you may already be married. Some of you may never be married. Some of you will be married. Some of you will enjoy the experience so much, you will be married many, many times. Good for you.

The next big milestone in your life is today: your graduation. The end of education. You’re done learning.

You’ve probably been told the big lie that “Learning is a lifelong process” and that therefore you will continue studying and taking masters’ degrees and doctorates and professorships and so on. You know the sort of people who tell you that? Teachers. Don’t you think there is some measure of conflict of interest? They are in the business of learning, after all. Where would they be without you? They need you to be repeat customers.

The good news is that they’re wrong.

The bad news is that you don’t need further education because your entire life is over. It is gone. That may come as a shock to some of you. You’re in your teens or early twenties. People may tell you that you will live to be 70, 80, 90 years old. That is your life expectancy.

I love that term: life expectancy. We all understand the term to mean the average life span of a group of people. But I’m here to talk about a bigger idea, which is what you expect from your life.

You may be very happy to know that Singapore is currently ranked as the country with the third highest life expectancy. We are behind Andorra and Japan, and tied with San Marino. It seems quite clear why people in those countries, and ours, live so long. We share one thing in common: our football teams are all hopeless. There’s very little danger of any of our citizens having their pulses raised by watching us play in the World Cup. Spectators are more likely to be lulled into a gentle and restful nap.

Singaporeans have a life expectancy of 81.8 years. Singapore men live to an average of 79.21 years, while Singapore women live more than five years longer, probably to take into account the additional time they need to spend in the bathroom.

So here you are, in your twenties, thinking that you’ll have another 40 years to go. Four decades in which to live long and prosper.

Bad news. Read the papers. There are people dropping dead when they’re 50, 40, 30 years old. Or quite possibly just after finishing their convocation. They would be very disappointed that they didn’t meet their life expectancy.

I’m here to tell you this. Forget about your life expectancy.

After all, it’s calculated based on an average. And you never, ever want to expect being average.

Revisit those expectations. You might be looking forward to working, falling in love, marrying, raising a family. You are told that, as graduates, you should expect to find a job paying so much, where your hours are so much, where your responsibilities are so much.

That is what is expected of you. And if you live up to it, it will be an awful waste.

If you expect that, you will be limiting yourself. You will be living your life according to boundaries set by average people. I have nothing against average people. But no one should aspire to be them. And you don’t need years of education by the best minds in Singapore to prepare you to be average.

What you should prepare for is mess. Life’s a mess. You are not entitled to expect anything from it. Life is not fair. Everything does not balance out in the end. Life happens, and you have no control over it. Good and bad things happen to you day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment. Your degree is a poor armour against fate.

Don’t expect anything. Erase all life expectancies. Just live. Your life is over as of today. At this point in time, you have grown as tall as you will ever be, you are physically the fittest you will ever be in your entire life and you are probably looking the best that you will ever look. This is as good as it gets. It is all downhill from here. Or up. No one knows.

What does this mean for you? It is good that your life is over.

Since your life is over, you are free. Let me tell you the many wonderful things that you can do when you are free.

The most important is this: do not work.

Work is anything that you are compelled to do. By its very nature, it is undesirable.

Work kills. The Japanese have a term “Karoshi”, which means death from overwork. That’s the most dramatic form of how work can kill. But it can also kill you in more subtle ways. If you work, then day by day, bit by bit, your soul is chipped away, disintegrating until there’s nothing left. A rock has been ground into sand and dust.

There’s a common misconception that work is necessary. You will meet people working at miserable jobs. They tell you they are “making a living”. No, they’re not. They’re dying, frittering away their fast-extinguishing lives doing things which are, at best, meaningless and, at worst, harmful.

People will tell you that work ennobles you, that work lends you a certain dignity. Work makes you free. The slogan “Arbeit macht frei” was placed at the entrances to a number of Nazi concentration camps. Utter nonsense.

Do not waste the vast majority of your life doing something you hate so that you can spend the small remainder sliver of your life in modest comfort. You may never reach that end anyway.

Resist the temptation to get a job. Instead, play. Find something you enjoy doing. Do it. Over and over again. You will become good at it for two reasons: you like it, and you do it often. Soon, that will have value in itself.

I like arguing, and I love language. So, I became a litigator. I enjoy it and I would do it for free. If I didn’t do that, I would’ve been in some other type of work that still involved writing fiction – probably a sports journalist.

So what should you do? You will find your own niche. I don’t imagine you will need to look very hard. By this time in your life, you will have a very good idea of what you will want to do. In fact, I’ll go further and say the ideal situation would be that you will not be able to stop yourself pursuing your passions. By this time you should know what your obsessions are. If you enjoy showing off your knowledge and feeling superior, you might become a teacher.

Find that pursuit that will energise you, consume you, become an obsession. Each day, you must rise with a restless enthusiasm. If you don’t, you are working.

Most of you will end up in activities which involve communication. To those of you I have a second message: be wary of the truth. I’m not asking you to speak it, or write it, for there are times when it is dangerous or impossible to do those things. The truth has a great capacity to offend and injure, and you will find that the closer you are to someone, the more care you must take to disguise or even conceal the truth. Often, there is great virtue in being evasive, or equivocating. There is also great skill. Any child can blurt out the truth, without thought to the consequences. It takes great maturity to appreciate the value of silence.

In order to be wary of the truth, you must first know it. That requires great frankness to yourself. Never fool the person in the mirror.

I have told you that your life is over, that you should not work, and that you should avoid telling the truth. I now say this to you: be hated.

It’s not as easy as it sounds. Do you know anyone who hates you? Yet every great figure who has contributed to the human race has been hated, not just by one person, but often by a great many. That hatred is so strong it has caused those great figures to be shunned, abused, murdered and in one famous instance, nailed to a cross.

One does not have to be evil to be hated. In fact, it’s often the case that one is hated precisely because one is trying to do right by one’s own convictions. It is far too easy to be liked, one merely has to be accommodating and hold no strong convictions. Then one will gravitate towards the centre and settle into the average. That cannot be your role. There are a great many bad people in the world, and if you are not offending them, you must be bad yourself. Popularity is a sure sign that you are doing something wrong.

The other side of the coin is this: fall in love.

I didn’t say “be loved”. That requires too much compromise. If one changes one’s looks, personality and values, one can be loved by anyone.

Rather, I exhort you to love another human being. It may seem odd for me to tell you this. You may expect it to happen naturally, without deliberation. That is false. Modern society is anti-love. We’ve taken a microscope to everyone to bring out their flaws and shortcomings. It far easier to find a reason not to love someone, than otherwise. Rejection requires only one reason. Love requires complete acceptance. It is hard work – the only kind of work that I find palatable.

Loving someone has great benefits. There is admiration, learning, attraction and something which, for the want of a better word, we call happiness. In loving someone, we become inspired to better ourselves in every way. We learn the truth worthlessness of material things. We celebrate being human. Loving is good for the soul.

Loving someone is therefore very important, and it is also important to choose the right person. Despite popular culture, love doesn’t happen by chance, at first sight, across a crowded dance floor. It grows slowly, sinking roots first before branching and blossoming. It is not a silly weed, but a mighty tree that weathers every storm.
You will find, that when you have someone to love, that the face is less important than the brain, and the body is less important than the heart.

You will also find that it is no great tragedy if your love is not reciprocated. You are not doing it to be loved back. Its value is to inspire you.

Finally, you will find that there is no half-measure when it comes to loving someone. You either don’t, or you do with every cell in your body, completely and utterly, without reservation or apology. It consumes you, and you are reborn, all the better for it.

Don’t work. Avoid telling the truth. Be hated. Love someone.

Time Forgets-Yiruma playing from my new laptop as i am typing in this solitary Saturday night. My PC's hard drive died, taking away my important files like,my degree portfolio work, my 2010 collection of photoa albums, and installers. I tried a lot of things, and they dont seem to work. Neither do i want to do anything about i for now.

These 2 days was so silent that, i felt such a great void inside. It's like a person just dissolved into thin air, and you can never hear about them anymore. I still remember that, the moment i hugged her along the pavement and refuse to let go, it was for fun, to have us laughing before parting. Come to think of it now, i don't think that i hugged her enough. In fact, i shouldn't even have let her go. Now, all i have in the mind is a missing presence, i want to see this person so much that, i start to feel like time is fooling with me.

I thought i could do things. I thought i could get busy. I thought i could go out and play. In fact, i wanted to go out for a drink with my old school mates in Kepong. But im sitting on the bed, cheering myself up with mom's tiramisu, accompanied by the piano melody of a korean love song.

What are you eating for the past 2 days? I bet the games must be so fun that, you've forgotten to eat. Or maybe it was so energy consuming that, you will eat more than usual. Are you having prawns and rice? Did you make any noob moves again and injure yourself? I hope there's someone who keep a good eye on you there.

Since everything in my PC is gone, i got nothing to do, watch, edit, i can't even view back those pictures of us. How cruel eh?

Yiruma's piano makes me reminisce bout us again and again, i think i have to stop facing the comp now, and start painting or something. Oh wait, i'm tired. I need to sleep.

But i can't sleep.

As she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of school, she told the children an untruth. Like most teachers, she looked at her students and said that she loved them all the same.. However, that was impossible, because there in the front row, slumped in his seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard

Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he did not play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and that he constantly needed a bath. In addition, Teddy could be unpleasant. It got to the point where Mrs. Thompson would actually take delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X's and then putting a big 'F' at the top of his papers.

At the school where Mrs. Thompson taught, she was required to review each child's past records and she put Teddy's off until last. However, when she reviewed his file, she was in for a surprise.

Teddy's first grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is a bright child with a ready laugh. He does his work neatly and has good manners... he is a joy to be around..'

His second grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is an excellent student, well liked by his classmates, but he is troubled because his mother has a terminal illness and life at home must be a struggle.'

His third grade teacher wrote, 'His mother's death has been hard on him. He tries to do his best, but his father doesn't show much interest, and his home life will soon affect him if some steps aren't taken.'

Teddy's fourth grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is withdrawn and doesn't show much interest in school. He doesn't have many friends and he sometimes sleeps in class.'

By now, Mrs. Thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of herself. She felt even worse when her students brought her Christmas presents, wrapped in beautiful ribbons and bright paper, except for Teddy's. His present was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper that he got from a grocery bag. Mrs. Thompson took pains to open it in the middle of the other presents. Some of the children started to laugh when she found a rhinestone bracelet with some of the stones missing, and a bottle that was one-quarter full of perfume. But she stifled the children's laughter when she exclaimed how pretty the bracelet was, putting it on, and dabbing some of the perfume on her wrist. Teddy Stoddard stayed after school that day just long enough to say, 'Mrs. Thompson, today you smelled just like my Mom used to.'

After the children left, she cried for at least an hour. On that very day, she quit teaching reading, writing and arithmetic. Instead, she began to teach children. Mrs. Thompson paid particular attention to Teddy. As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come alive. The more she encouraged him, the faster he responded. By the end of the year, Teddy had become one of the smartest children in the class and, despite her lie that she would love all the children the same, Teddy became one of her 'teacher's pets..'

A year later, she found a note under her door, from Teddy, telling her that she was the best teacher he ever had in his whole life.

Six years went by before she got another note from Teddy. He then wrote that he had finished high school, third in his class, and she was still the best teacher he ever had in life.

Four years after that, she got another letter, saying that while things had been tough at times, he'd stayed in school, had stuck with it, and would soon graduate from college with the highest of honours. He assured Mrs. Thompson that she was still the best and favourite teacher he had ever had in his whole life.

Then four more years passed and yet another letter came.. This time he explained that after he got his bachelor's degree, he decided to go a little further. The letter explained that she was still the best and favourite teacher he ever had. But now his name was a little longer.... The letter was signed, Theodore F. Stoddard, MD.

The story does not end there.

You see, there was yet another letter that spring. Teddy said he had met this girl and was going to be married. He explained that his father had died a couple of years ago and he was wondering if Mrs. Thompson might agree to sit at the wedding in the place that was usually reserved for the mother of the groom. Of course, Mrs. Thompson did. And guess what? She wore that bracelet, the one with several rhinestones missing. Moreover, she made sure she was wearing the perfume that Teddy remembered his mother wearing on their last Christmas together.

They hugged each other, and Dr. Stoddard whispered in Mrs. Thompson's ear, 'Thank you Mrs. Thompson for believing in me. Thank you so much for making me feel important and showing me that I could make a difference.'

Mrs. Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back. She said, 'Teddy, you have it all wrong. You were the one who taught me that I could make a difference. I didn't know how to teach until I met you.'

(For you that don't know, Teddy Stoddard is the Doctor at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines that has the Stoddard Cancer Wing.)

A divine light outshines the eruption as she dances and trails the volcano. Gradually, the eruption cools down, toxic clouds on the air faded, revealing a sky with shades of dawn. No matter how excited i am today, no matter how much i want things to happen today, i shall not expect. If by whatever means, nothing happens today, then, i'll just have to be strong, and wait for another day :)

No one likes to look desperate. I personally, am not a person who likes to show desperation even at the most terrible moments but, I can't help it, that, sometimes, at some moments, you're just terribly weak and helpless.Petty things can get out of hand and amplified into greater forms causing emotional turmoils within seconds.In need of frequent self-battling, for independence, to be stronger so that i would not need to cause suffocation and unnecessary hassles.

It's hard being a man, consciously,being this weak

but what can i do, when i AM this weak?

Perfect Two

Recently, I've discovered a very significant experience in my life. It's a discovery of what love can do to a person, and how a person is able to do it for love.

Flashing back, i was attracted to this girl who has an enthusiastic and cheerful personality. She has a generous will to learn and appreciate things differently.Despite the perception on the high standard requirements that I've gave others, it was so easy to fall for such a girl.

With a wide range personality clicks, I feel that, there are high chances to have a beautiful & fun relationship with this girl.So i decided to give love a chance (after a ridiculous incident) and expressed my love to her. Amazing how life works sometimes, she felt the same, and we got together after.

So off we go, on a good start, sharing lots of things about each other, she is a keen listener, and fun person to talk with. We share our deepest and darkest secrets as well as the significant things in our lives. We had our first kiss , with a photography taken, in a tunnel which lights were reflected by nature surrounding us.

She was expecting her first kiss to be one that will drain her soul away, but it wasn't as impactful as she expected. Few weeks past, she turned from a virgin kisser, to a phenomenal one. There rise the passion, and also some other things that we didn't want to have.

Arguments came in bit by bit; clashes of thoughts and principles, impatience and lack of sensitivity all contributed to the negativity of that moment. Some problems are amplified by pride and ego. Some things starts to make us feel that we are not good enough. Some things makes us feel like we are taken for granted. Some things even make her felt like we are incompatible and not meant for each other. Things feels like it's going to fall apart every time we argued.

We tried to hold on and compromise, we made promises and try to talk things through, but somehow, the problem arises again. We started to get bored of the arguments cause of it's repetition. There are times where we left each other for awhile, and came back passionate again, but arguments starts to rise again. Scars were left all over, and it's just too hard to hold on.

That night, it started to rain as we burst out on a really big fight that would have break us apart, if ego and pride still takes control. After that night, things changed. Hard feelings which i thought would never cease, starts to heal day by day with the changes that she has made for me. She does not only let go off her pride but she starts to care with sensitivity. She opens up her mind to a lot of things that she was afraid to go for or do not want to. She changed. Like how i changed. We changed, and molded perfectly into one.

Don't be mistaken by the word perfect here. The relationship between us is perfect, not because we will never argue anymore, but its about how understanding and positive change will take place if we ever meet obstacles again. The girl I'm with now, is a girl who is passionate about the things she wants to achieve in life, and even more passionate when it comes to us. I will never feel like i am striving for love alone anymore because i have her.

This girl, is a symbol of hope, as she fought against stubbornness for love.

A girl who is capable of making me smile in an instance, no matter how sad i am.

The girl, who made me a man.

The girl who completes me, and made us the perfect two.

Bad times,are moments where we should treat it with sensitivity, patience, and perseverance. Throughout this week, i've learnt that, no matter how fair or unfair things are, one should give in, out of love. By letting go pride and the mindset of who is right or wrong, it tends to seal the gap and draw us close together again. As long as one party is able to give in willingly, things can be solved at a very early stage.

Today is my last day of work until the Raya holiday ends
