The Freaky Letter

Dear Mike,

ON the exterior 3d, the background of other buildings appeared weird as it was too transparent.

On the night view, i seek opinion from other tutors, and we noted that the signage of "barcode hotel" did not stand up.

Lighting and floor pattern for the lobby can still be improved, as the star effects are too strong and floor pattern is slightly too messy, preferable the 1st option (shown to me last Tuesday) and to extend from there.

For business lounge, other tutors also agreed the view (from ant's eye level) appeared weird but if you insisted, as mentioned earlier, maybe the ceiling including lighting fixtures can still be upgraded, making it more complicated. "remember you conceptual idea of transformation"

Cafe view is find but the lighting (star effects) was not realistic. Can there be more structure added into the cafe to make it more elaborated!!

Corridor views appeared fine, quite realistic.

Reception view improved, I prefer this better than the earlier proposal but I guess the signage is not being highlighted (barcode hotel.com).

Lighting effects can still be updated.

Overall, the tutor feel that the form is not expressive, and I think you could refer back to your conceptual form again and get inspiration from there, perhaps, maybe adding more detailings to some of your 3ds. And on lighting effects, I feel that have lacked of ideas!!! only 1 type (downlight)! What happened to the penetration/filteration of light?

Keep on working hard...I believe you can still do better.

I AM HAVING A NICE WEEKEND INDEED LOLX. After reading this mail, i opened my amended 3D and, i started laughing. It seems like every point of hit right on target. It was a sharp comment indeed. This is the 3rd time i am going to redo my 3D and i am not giving up yet. I'm feeling that all this improvements is going to bring my design somewhere.GAMBATTE EVERYONE!!!!

ps: who are the other tutor, that really freaks me off.Im watched O_O
